the cost of refixing any existing boundary stones. The work will be carried out by the Director of Public Works.
(f). The lessee to take up the Crown Leases when called upon to do so by the Land Officer and to pay him
the sum of $30.00 for each Crow Lease.
(g). The exact boundaries of the lots to be deter-
-mined before the issue of the new Crown Leases.
(h). Site C will be levelled by Government free of
cost to lessee,
(i). The lessee to pay into the Colonial Treasury on demand the sum of $150.00 being the cost of removing
and relaying the existing 4" water main in the road
between Kowloon Inland Lots 629, 631 and 1111. The work
to be carried out by the Director of Public Works.
(j). The lessee to form the road between lots A and
B to such levels as the Director of Public Works may

approve and to his satisfaction within six months from
the date of a letter from the Director of Public Works
calling upon him to do so. The surfacing and channelling
of the road to be carried out by Government.

With regard to condition (h), I would
point out that arrangements have already been made for the
levelling of the area marked C, in connection with the rais-
-ing of another street in the neighbourhood; a considerable
economy has thus been effected, the additional cost of the
rai sing work amounting to 81,000, whereas the lowest tender
for levelling lot C as a separate work amounted to 85,900.
A further argument in favour of the
scheme is that it will effect a great improvement in the junction of Waterloo and Nathan Roads. Both of these are 100 foot main thoroughfares, and without doubt tram lines will
